Directions: I-85 to Exit 49. Coming north on I-85, exit right onto Speedway Blvd (exit left if you are coming south), take your first left onto Weddington Road and then left onto Gateway Drive. Follow road - Sleep Inn is on left.

The Southern Open will serve as a qualifier for the tour's exemption into the Nationwide Tour's Price Cutter Charity Championship on August 13-16. All players have the option to sign up for the exemption fee when they register for the event online, or when they arrive for their practice rounds. The fee for eGolf Tour members is $100. The fee for non-members is $125. All monies generated from the exemption fee go to the Price Cutter Charity Championship's 42 designated children's charities.

The Price Cutter Charity Championship is one of the oldest events on the Nationwide Tour, dating back to the tour's inception in 1990. The player who wins the exemption will have their flight to Springfield, MO paid for, will be placed in private housing for the week and will have the option to compete in up to five area pro-ams from Saturday through Wednesday of tournament week, with each one paying the player $350. The Southern Open will be a riding event. Players may walk if they choose to do so.
