The Tarheel Tour Championship will be played outside Charlottesville, VA using a two-course format for the first two days. Competitors will play Spring Creek Golf Club and the Wintergreen Resort (Stoney Creek Course-Monakin & Shamokin Nines) once each during the first two days of play. After the completion of 36 holes, the field will be cut to the low 60 players and ties. Those players making the cut will play Spring Creek Golf Club in the final round.
Spring Creek was voted the #1 “New Course you can play for Under $75” in the Country by Golf Digest in 2007. It has hosted the Tarheel Tour’s Spring Creek Classic in 2007 and 2008 won by Roberto Castro and Michael Sims respectively. The course was lengthened significantly in 2008 and now measures 7,290 yards.
Wintergreen Resort (Stoney Creek Course-Monakin & Shamokin Nines) combine to create 7,005 yards of surprising elevation changes and dramatic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This Rees Jones design is currently ranked the #34 “Best Resort Course in the Country” by Golf Digest.
This event is open to both members and non-members of the EGOLF/Tarheel Tour. |
